Isn't it strange that the barometer and standard for societal progress is somehow measured by the extent to which a woman's body can be commodified and marketed?? Our country used to be so modern, so developed and prosperous before the Islamists tool over.. Really?? A quick Google search for "the good old days" in Muslim countries such as Iran, Somalia and Afghanistan (to name but a few, there are many other examples) will bring back countless articles and images boasting of a wonderful era where those societies were so Civilised and Prosperous, yet most of the images are of women in bikini outfits πŸ‘™ sporting European hairstyles, legs all out in display posing in a seductive manner while the face is caked up with layers of Maquillage πŸ’„ * Actual images won't be posted here for obvious reasons, but just use your imagination * Is progress measured in Italian designer and European hairstyles, skin bleaching and facial reconstruction (which was VERY common in Iran)?? What sort of progress is that to boast of?? And why do these articles always skip over the thousand plus years prior to European influence in those nations, a period that was far more progressive and productive altogether, when the people of the land were actually in power and sovereign - free of European colonial influence and subjugation. More importantly, they didn't have to wear bikinis and sport the latest Italian shades on the beach ⛱️ for society to prosper. The alternative model is to show women in school and college, again - European attire and hairstyles, huddling together in a science lab πŸ§ͺ with white overalls and a face full of Maquillage πŸ’„. Progress!! Why are women's bodies so commodified and used as a political tool when addressing Muslim society?? Aren't there any other measures to go by, how about the economy, military or even happiness index?? Just a thought. Do you agree with the "good old days" take?? Was it better when women were in bikinis and make-up..
