Remember Mostafa Akkad's film, The Message?? The best scene in the entire film was when Sayyidna Jaa'far Ibn Abu Taalib - in his role as the representative of the Muslim community in Abyssinia and as the spokesman on their behalf, he begins to make Da'wah by presenting Islam through the high moral standards taught by the prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ in regards to treating neighbours, relatives and women with Respect and Honour. Upon the mention of Women, the Quraishi envoy Amr Ibn al-'As bursts out laughing at the mere mention of treating women as equal and granting them rights to inheritance Women?? We buy them, use them, DISCARD them!! Watch the clip here ๐Ÿ‘‰https://youtu.be/lQHR1eQe0ew?feature=... The Da'wah of Jaa'far on that day, in the court of Najashi was a testament to the famous statement that "a nation is judged by how it treats its women", indeed - prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ taught the men of this community well when he said that "the best among you are those who are the best in conduct towards their womenfolk.." It was the mention of a mother, Mariam bint Imran - that brought the king and his bishops to tears as Jaa'far recited verses from Surah Mariam before all those present. Her faith and courage at a time in which the miracle bestowed upon her was seemingly unbearable for she knew that the community she lived in was certainly going to besmirch her integrity and reputation as a mother bearing an infant child without a father in the picture. What sort of a community finds reason and purpose in attacking vulnerable mothers, what sort of men lead such communities? Mariam prayed for death in that moment and has wished to be a thing forgotten, the prospect of going home to that community was that unbearable for her. Surely, therein lies a lesson. In times like these, we shouldn't be pointing fingers towards Feminism and Liberalism. We should be asking why some of our sisters find it so much more appealing and easy to seek comfort "over there"...the answer has become so much clearer recently. ุฃَู„َูŠْุณَ ู…ِู†ْูƒُู…ْ ุฑَุฌُู„ٌ ุฑَุดِูŠุฏٌ ?? Let us just pray that if Allah sends down his punishment, that we are all not afflicted by the weight of his Wrath. Allah does NOT love injustice and oppression ุฃَุชُู‡ْู„ِูƒُู†َุง ุจِู…َุง َูุนَู„َ ุงู„ุณَُّูู‡َุงุกُ ู…ِู†َّุง ?? May Allah heal this community. We have certainly seen much better days (to put it very mildly). To the responsible men, speak up and intervene anytime you hear impressionable boys in your care/presence parroting nonsensical mantra from these pseudo-masculine influencers. Remember that these boys will be coming for your daughter's hand in marriage one day (Allah have mercy). Don't allow the disrespect to spiral out of control. A man simply doesn't engage with women at that base level, it's always pathetic. Elevate the standards.
